Welcome to the Tournament page.

Check out below to see if you are eligible to play in NZBSA sanctioned events etc.

Local Association Tournaments such as A, B & C Grade events.
Provided you are a member of the particular local association you should be eligible to play in these events. A Grade players can only play in A Grade and Open events, B Grade players can play in A Grade, B Grade and Open events, C Grade players can play in A Grade, B Grade, C Grade and Open events.

Standard NZBSA Ranking events hosted by a local association.
Provided you are a current full financial member of a local association you are eligible to play in these events.

North or South Island Championships.
You must be a current financial member of an affiliated local association and also meet the additional residency / citizenship requirements as listed below.

"Players shall only be entitled to play in the Island Championships of the Island of their place of permanent residence."

"Entrants in the NORTH or SOUTH ISLAND Billiards and / or Snooker Championships must be (a) a NZ Citizen, or (b) have lived for a period of 3 years in NZ and be the holder of Permanent NZ residency, or (c) if a holder of duel citizenship must not have represented another Country at Billiards or Snooker for a period of not less than 3 years. A players eligibility status may be modified by the New Zealand Billiards & Snooker Association Inc. Board, if it believes there is grounds to support such an application made to the NZBSA."

NZ Open Championships.
These two events are open to any players, however please note that as the fields may be limited to a certain number all those players who are current financial members of an affiliated local association will be accepted first.

NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS (excluding NZ B Grade Billiards & Snooker).
You must be a current financial member of an affiliated local association and also meet the additional residency / citizenship requirements as listed below.

"Entrants in the NEW ZEALAND Billiards and / or Snooker Championships must be (a) a NZ Citizen, or (b) have lived for a period of 3 years in NZ and be the holder of Permanent NZ residency, or (c) if a holder of duel citizenship must not have represented another Country at Billiards or Snooker for a period of not less than 3 years. NZ B Grade Billiards & Snooker Championships.
Billiards
- Must not have won an A Grade or Open Event
Must not have won event before
Snooker -Must not have won an A Grade or Open Event
Must not have won event before
