Papakura Open 2022

That’s it for another Papakura Ranking Tournament. Results are for all Section Play, Main Draw, and Plate are included.Sam Bond after defeated Paul van der Straten in the Semi-Final after a very tough battle.

The result shows as 3 – 0, but Paul missed a relatively easy black in the 2nd frame to win, and that could have made a huge difference. But it was not to be.In the second Semi-Final Deepak played in his usual calm and untroubled style coming back from losing the first frame, to defeat Danny Estocapio 3 – 1. 

Earlier in the day Danny posted the high break. A very well constructed 74.The plate final was played between Vinny Gounder and newcomer Vishal Kathuria. Vishal’s experience at 8 Ball got him through to a convincing 2 – 0 win.

The Main Event Final was not quite so convincing. Going down to the wire. Black to win in the 5th and final frame. Both Deepak and Sam missed relatively easy shots to win, just showing how the nerves can play their part.

An eventual mistake from Sam left the Deepak a simple pot to secure another title.
